Short Circuit Load

The Short Circuit Load subcircuit models the application of a short circuit at a user-defined time point. Using the recover argument, you can remove the short circuit and test the recovery of the circuit. This load is used in the built-in testplans for the ShortCkt() Test Objective.

Other similar loads include:

Ramp Load - a ramped load where the starting current is modeled with a resistor and the ramp current is modeled with a PWL current source
Ramp Pure Load - a ramped load where both the starting current and the ramp current are modeled with a current source
Pulse Load - Single Current Pulse - a single current pulse load with the starting current modeled with a resistor
Pulse Load - Single Pure Current Pulse - a single current pulse load without any resistive component
