XY Probes

The XY Probes allow you to plot a voltage or current versus another voltage or current. The probes are general purpose and can be used for many applications, including plotting the I-V characteristics of semiconductor devices, the B-H Loop of an inductor, the charge-voltage characteristic of a capacitor, and many more. The image in the overview section was generated with the following schematic, in which the two voltage sources have different frequencies and phases. The V1 source is cosinusoidal and the V2 source is sinusoidal. The schematic is compatible with both the SIMetrix and SIMPLIS simulators.
