SIMetrix has a number of different ways of finding and placing parts. Many parts can be placed in 2 or 3 different ways and which you choose will depend on personal preference. The methods are:

Part Selector. The part selector is a hierarchical list of parts that may be displayed within the main application window.

Part Search. Searches parts available in the part selector.

Place menu. This includes the Model Library Browser and the search by specification (see Selecting a Model by Specification) system. Other parts may also be placed from the place menu but many are easier to locate using the part selector.

Toolbar. Only a few parts available but quick and easy.
